JOB DESCRIPTION:

Career position providing management expertise in landscaping and snow operations, and personnel management.  

 

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Plan and direct the operations of multiple crews

• Accountable for efficient and profitable operations associated with turf, shrub, and shrub bed care

• Assist in Tree and Shrub care to include trimming, pruning, and enhancement projects

• Assist in hiring and personnel assessment process

• Manage fleet and equipment associated with landscape maintenance and snow operations

• Train in proper horticultural, safety, and equipment operations

• Direct and participate in snow control operations

• Installation and enhancement projects including tree and shrub plantings, wall and patio contruction, lawn installation, drainage, shrub pruning and trimming, mulching, etc

• Customer interaction and satisfaction

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a professional work ethic and strong leadership skills

• Related degree or technical education preferred

• Minimum of three years experience in supervisory responsibilities

• Knowledge of all aspects of landscape and snow control operations  

• Mechanically inclined.  Ability to recognize or diagnose basic mechanical failures in equipment and vehicles 

• Strong organizational skills required to direct 4 to 6 crews, 10 to 15 employees 

• Ability to perform general record keeping  

• Must be a team player with a willingness to learn  

 

COMPENSATION:

• ​Salary: $40,000-$53,000 start

• 2 weeks vacation
