LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Supervisor with team building experience is needed to provide direct and immediate impact on the culture, growth, and development of a smaller volume branch with high volume potential.  A successful Supervisor would have strong leadership skills, a broad knowledge of mowing and associated operations, great communication skills, and a strong desire to grow and succeed in the industry.  Growth and leadership potential within a multi-branch organization.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assist in the hiring and personnel process, directly creating a culture of growth, productivity, and job satisfaction

  • Plan and direct the operations of multiple crews in daily routes

  • Accountable for efficient and profitable operations associated with turf, shrub, and shrub bed care

  • Assist in tree and shrub care to include trimming, pruning, and enhancement projects

  • Manage fleet and equipment associated with landscape maintenance and snow operations

  • Train in proper horticultural, safety, and equipment operations

  • Customer interaction and satisfaction

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS​:​​

  • A professional work ethic and strong leadership skills and a desire to grow

  • Must be bilingual - English/Spanish

  • Must have valid Driver's License

  • Related degree or technical education preferred

  • Minimum of three years experience of supervisory responsibilities  

  • Knowledge of all aspects of landscape maintenance and snow control operations

  • Mechanically inclined.  Ability to recognize or diagnose basic mechanical failures in equipment and vehicles  

  • Strong organizational skills required to direct 3 to 6 crews, 8 to 15 employees

  • Ability to perform general record keeping

  • Must be a team player with a willingness to learn
